Inspirational Norwegian DJ and producer Matoma has released his first single of 2022: ‘Take Me To The Sunshine’ with SUPER-Hi and vocalist BullySongs. The song is perfect for those who are living in the midst of winter with a bouncy, dance-driven feeling that only comes with the summer months. Collaborators Super-Hi add their productive flair and BullySongs’s vocals pull the whole track together.

Tom shares, “I wanted to start 2022 with a banger! For me this song is all about stepping out of bad times, and onto the dancefloor to let yourself go.”

Following previous singles ‘Never Surrender’ featuring Steve Garrigan of Kodaline and ‘Summer Feeling’ featuring Jonah Kagen, which scored record numbers of streams in their first week, Matoma is proving time after time that he is a force in the current electronic world. ‘Never Surrender’ has taken off with Steve and Tom performing the moving track on The Tonight Show (Indonesia) and God Morgen Norge (Norway).

Since making his debut in 2015, Matoma has joined the ranks of electronics’ most popular and innovative new stars, prompting Rolling Stone to declare him the “leader of tropical house’s next big wave.” Born Tom Lagergren, Matoma scored a breakout success in 2015 with his RIAA gold-certified single, Matoma & The Notorious B.I.G’s “Old Thing Back (feat. Ja Rule & Ralph Trevisant),” featured on the groundbreaking 2015 debut album project, Hakuna Matoma. Since then, Matoma has made waves with life-affirming originals (including the smash “Running Out”) alongside cross-genre collaborations with the likes of Jason Derulo, Jennifer Lopez, Dua Lipa, and The Vamps as well as a dazzling array of remixes for artists as varied as Coldplay, One Direction, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Sean Paul, among others.

Matoma’s journey reached a landmark moment with the release of 2018’s acclaimed debut album, One In A Million, which has garnered over 1 billion streams worldwide. Hailed by Billboard as “a fresh collection of varied dance-pop compositions…heavy with feels from start to finish…(and) poised for pop-crossover success with some stirringly emotional moments and dance floor feelings,” the album includes a quartet of worldwide hit singles, including “False Alarm (Feat. Becky Hill),” “Lonely (feat. MAX),” “Slow (feat. Noah Cyrus),” and “All Night (feat. The Vamps),” all of which have now amassed over a billion total streams and counting.

Super-Hi are multi-instrumentalist writer/producer duo Rick Parkhouse & George Tizzard. Beyond their blast-off debut “Following the Sun,” they just released “Most People” – a collaboration with Lukas Graham. The duo have been writing and producing together for years, and between them they are credited with over 100 major label cuts, have sold over 15 million records, and have worked with many global chart topping acts such as Charlie Puth, Machine Gun Kelly, David Guetta, Green Day, 5 Seconds of Summer, Little Mix, Lukas Graham, Sabrina Carpenter, Camilla Cabello, and James Arthur.

Songs by BullySongs (real name Andrew Bullimore) have been streamed over 1.5 billion times on Spotify alone. His first international smash was No Money by Galantis in 2015 which features his elder son Reece on lead vocals. In 2018, he co-wrote Lullaby by Sigala & Paloma Faith, a Brit-nominated UK top ten hit and airplay no. 1, and Blah Blah Blah, the biggest streaming release to date for Armin van Buuren which features his younger son Aidan on lead vocals. As a featured vocalist, he has released bangers with the likes of Armin van Buuren, Don Diablo & Steve Aoki, Vicetone, 1991 and now Matoma. He loves nothing more than performing his songs alongside DJs on the biggest stages.
