After dropping title track ‘Rave Culture’ as the very first release of their new label (Rave Culture), W&W have lined up a massive collaboration as its banging follow-up. Their next single, ‘Ready To Rave’, sees the current #14 DJs in the world link up with none other than five-time #1 DJ in the world Armin van Buuren, who recognized the duo’s potential at an early stage and got them to join Amsterdam-based record label Armada Music a whopping ten years back.
Released in the wake of other smashing collaborations such as ‘If It Ain’t Dutch’ and ‘#D Fat’, W&W and Armin van Buuren’s ‘Ready To Rave’ is yet another monster tune bound to crack main stages in half. Judging by its enormous impact and infectious hooks, it’s no wonder this track has been conquering major festivals across the globe all throughout this year’s summer.
Observant fans may have already seen this collaboration coming. At the end of the music video of W&W’s ‘Rave Culture’, Armin van Buuren already played a small cameo role, which hinted toward a possible collaboration between the two globally acclaimed dance music acts in the near future. That moment has arrived today, accompanied by a music video bearing the same futuristic design as its predecessor.
Armin van Buuren: “It’s been such a pleasure to see W&W turn from two young, talented boys into one of the most successful dance music duos of our time. Each time we decide to collaborate, we hit it off instantly and get some amazing results in the studio, just like we did now with ‘Ready To Rave’. This track is definitely meant to get people to go nuts and rave relentlessly wherever in the world they are, so I hope everyone likes what we came up with this time.”
W&W: “When the idea of starting our Rave Culture label crossed our minds, we knew we wanted to center it around records that could really drive a crowd crazy. ‘Ready To Rave’ fits that bill completely, and it’s always nice to hit the studio with someone who has released many of these tunes. It’s been one of the biggest tracks from our live sets this summer, so we’re having high hopes for this one.”
Although some might take it slow during the holiday season, Maurice West is still racing towards the end of the year at top speed. Fresh from working with some of the biggest names in the scene (e.g. Hardwell, KSHMR and W&W), playing his first sold-out show during the Amsterdam Dance Event and wreaking havoc at the biggest festivals in the world (including Ultra Miami, Tomorrowland and World Club Dome), the Dutch DJ and producer drops a brand-new record bound to slam down hard on the dance floor: ‘The Kick’.
An infectious track made to lay the main stages of the world’s biggest festivals in ruin, ‘The Kick’ is a staple track meant to get stuck on repeat. Considering the raw power of the punchy synths, the impact of the hard-hitting drops and how hard they make it for anyone to sit still, this monster track validates that 2018 has been a tremendous year for Maurice West and drops him off splendidly at his next Asia run, starting next month with Creamfields Shanghai and Hong Kong, We Are Connected and ISY Festival.
Maurice West already made huge waves in the dance music community at an early age. Growing up in a family of skillful musicians, Maurice set his goals as a kid and started out with instruments like the piano, guitar and drums to pave the way for his later endeavors. Now combining his musical background and his ability to create supercharged progressive and blistering electro house to push boundaries, he doesn’t play by the rules and eats the boundaries of genres for breakfast. And that’s exactly why Maurice West is regarded an one of the most exciting talents of the dance music realm today.
A new rave movement is on the rise, and W&W are the ones responsible. Their new concept is meant to reshape the dance music experience for the most passionate ravers and marks the beginning of a new movement and label: ‘Rave Culture’.
A new music video has launched to magnify the impact of Rave Culture and its first release, which hints towards a possible collaboration with an electronic dance music legend in the foreseeable future.
As a label, Rave Culture builds on – and rebrands – the initial idea of Mainstage Music, but with a stronger focus on creative freedom. In addition to keeping an open mind toward many different sub genres of electronic dance music, the label will release music from artists such as W&W, NWYR and Maurice West, incorporating the Mainstage sound into the bigger picture.
W&W: “With our song ‘Rave Culture’, we wanted to answer the call of many fans about making a song that went back to the golden era of Bigroom, somewhere around 2012 and 2013. We took that sound and tried to create an updated version with today’s production standards.”
During this year’s edition of Amsterdam Dance Event, on October 19, Rave Culture is hosting a free launch party for fans at Club Nova. Fans can expect performances from W&W, Maurice West, D-Block & S-Te-Fan and a few other special guests. Make sure to join the movement by following @RaveCulture on Instagram.
