And again a banger from Orjan Nilsen! ‘Wait 4 It’ will be loved and will make the crowd going crazy with his amazing tunes! Exited?
Listen to the track here.
Returning to his In My Opinion label with another full-fledged banger, Ørjan Nilsen goes all out from the get-go. Ripe with big bass, screaming synths and swirling melodies, a mainstage rocker like this one can only be – ‘Wait 4 It’ – legendary.
When several of Progressive Trance’s finest artists get together to teach electronic music production, great things are bound to happen. While spending a week in Bulgaria teaching fans from different parts of the world how to make music, Ørjan Nilsen, Dennis Sheperd, Nifra and Estiva suddenly found themselves in a completely unexpected, impromptu collaboration. The result is – unsurprisingly – a blistering production aptly titled ‘Cabin Fever’, which sees its release on In My Opinion with an additional club mix from label boss Ørjan Nilsen himself.
The product of one of the biggest progressive collaborations of the year, ‘Cabin Fever’ showcases what happens when Ørjan Nilsen, Dennis Sheperd, Nifra and Estiva do what they do best: the inception of a track that heats up the dance floor like no other. Armed with an anthemic melody, pulsating bass and a sizzling build-up, ‘Cabin Fever’ was fueled up by the talent and energy of four divergent producers and finished in just a matter of hours. It might just be the biggest surprise of the year.
Ørjan Nilsen x Dennis Sheperd x Nifra x Estiva: “When we joined Trance Retreat as instructors to teach our craft, we didn’t know we’d end up jamming together. We inspired each other endlessly, fed on the beauty of the Bulgarian mountains and the motivation and passions of our students, and came up with a track called ‘Cabin Fever’, which we finished by – and played at the Trance Retreat party at – the end of the weekend. It has since become a staple track in all over our live sets. It ties in perfectly with our respective signature sounds, which is what makes it sound so unique and fresh, and the crowd’s reaction to it has been absolutely amazing. It has been a fun ride reading people’s speculations on whose ID it is.”
Enjoy some super cool remixes of Orjan Nilsen future classics right here! ‘Prism Remixed 2’ offers two mind-blowing cuts set to rock your world.
Listen to this amazing ‘Prism Remixed 2’ Album here.
Following a tempestuous first installment, Ørjan Nilsen proudly presents the second remix package of his ‘Prism’ album. Including a terrific, break-beat-infused remix of ‘The Last Goodbye’ from Silk Android and a stomping rendition of ‘Drowning’ from HGHLND, ‘Prism Remixed 2’ offers two mind-blowing cuts set to rock your world.
They say the way to a man’s heart lies in serving him his favorite meal, and Ørjan Nilsen shows that this doesn’t just apply to food-related subjects. Whetting the appetite of electronic music lovers from all over the world, his new single ‘Love Rush In’ has all the ingredients of a prize-winning dance music dish.
Following Ørjan Nilsen’s sough-after recipe of dance music production to the letter, ‘Love Rush In’ sees the Norwegian wonderworker serve up out a true pièce de résistance. Built on a foundation of mouthwatering chord progressions with Gabriela Geneva’s sweet vocals and tantalizing guitar tones sprinkled on top, this tune is exactly why The Viking is widely regarded as one of dance music’s most esteemed tastemakers.
Ørjan Nilsen: “’Love Rush In’ doesn’t really hold some sort of a fun or mind-blowing story, but I can tell you I was cooking at home when this idea suddenly popped up in my head. So I just left all my cooking behind, jumped into the studio and worked on the melody. It was the perfect track for a vocal, so I reached out to the guy who writes most of my vocals, Mike James, who immediately found the best fit for it. I’ve been waiting for the right moment to release it, and I am super happy we took our time to let it rest as I believe the wait was definitely worth it.”
What’s best than kick your week off with such an energy booster?
Let’s face it, even on Mondays…nothing’s more powerful than Orjan Nilsen’s energy on stage to lift your mood up.
We’ve sat down for a chat with the trance Viking and IMO label’s honcho to find out a few interesting news…
TBA : Hi Ørjan, great to see you again, how are you doing?
ØN: Hi Jess, nice to see you too, I am fine thanks, busy with the summer tour.
TBA : Indeed, I’ve seen your schedule and it’s insane.
ØN: Yes it’s very busy, there are a lot of dates in the upcoming 3 weeks, now Luxemburg, then Poland on Tuesday, China on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, then I go back home on Sunday I think, then I go to Czech Republic and then to Tijuana and then I guess the summer touring season will be sort of over for this year.
TBA : Will you manage to take some proper rest then?
ØN: I already told my manager I will take a week when I’ll just turn off my phone and will just chill on the couch watching Netflix.
TBA: Haha good, what are your favorite series?
ØN:Well, I love Game Of Thrones as everyone else, and I am also a huge fan of Friends which I’ve seen probably a thousand times but if I just wanna chill on the couch it’s still what I like to watch.
TBA: Congrats on the new album, we talked about it in a previous interview and you told me it’s just the first part,so when is the second part coming ?
ØN: The second part is coming next year, not too sure when exactly and it’s gonna be a different album, it’s sort of done but I am always making new tracks that I wanna add to it so the final track is not yet done, so hopefully by the end of October it will be.
TBA: Will it be as eclectic as Prism?
ØN: Tbh I am not too sure, I’ve been working in studio and had a lot of inspiration and made a lot of new tracks, around the end of October I’ll have a bout 25 tracks to choose from and I’ll figure it out.
TBA: Well you know I am a huge fan of you and one of the things I love the most is I never know what to expect, it’s always so different but always so freaking good…
ØN :Haha thanks
TBA: I mean I can always find trance in your tracks even when their style is so very different.
ØN: Oh yes I have a thing with melody so it will always shine through, but i have this philosophy: if I don’t know where I am going nobody else will either, so basically I sit in my studio and no one knows what is going to happen … I will never say this is what I am gonna do and that’s it! That’s just not me, so whenever I found an inspiration for something… it can be deep house, it can be techno it can be future house, future pop whatever.
TBA: It’s amazing cause everyone can find something they like on an album.
ØN: I wanna make sure ppl understand that I will always try new stuff but with my signature sound.
TBA: And did you manage to buy the moog voyager you wanted?
ØN: Not yet, I have been more focused on new samples and VSTs and I love Splice but i am still hungry for that moog voyager so I will get it.
TBA: What can we expect from you in the next future apart from the new album?
ØN: Well there is a lot of new music coming out, loads of new releases, I am trying to focus a bit more on my label as well; we already signed like 3 new artists for IMO so that’s really cool, one is a friend of mine from Norway, Fingerling and he has been part of IMO for a while, Shy Brothers, and there are a couple of other artists as well.
TBA: I’ll keep them on my radar then
ØN: Oh yes, I would do so!
TBA: Ok thanks a lot for your time and see you soon.
ØN:Thanks a lot for having me.
This week all remixes from ‘Body’ will be released. Ørjan the Norwegian trance producer and DJ did an insane remix of ‘Body”, a real trancer. Blow up your speakers and keep on dancing.
Merging all seven previously released remixes into one exciting deal, this remix package of Loud Luxury’s smash hit ‘Body’ is the icing on the cake. Spread nicely across the dance music spectrum, this seven-color rainbow is about to spice up your day big time.
The Norwegian trance superstar Orjan just released a brand new track, named ‘Simulator’. Which is part of the ‘Prism’ album. ‘Simulator’ is an uplifting track which will blow you away from beginning till end.
Last Wednesday June 13th, Orjan hosted Armada Invites at the Armada Office in Amsterdam and yesterday he celebrated his birthday and….Today, he’s gifting us with this gem.
Another hyper-energetic cut taken from his album ‘Prism’, ‘Simulator’ sees Ørjan Nilsen delve into pulsating basslines and all-out Trance gates once more. Proving once again that the Norwegian DJ and producer is a melodic grandmaster, this unprecedented dance floor anthem is bound to be any dance music fan’s top favorite for a long time to come.
Just a week after the release of part one of his third artist album Ørjan Nilsen releases yet another single from “PRISM”.
The vocal anthem “Nothing Here But Love” comes just in time for summer, anticipating steady sing-alongs across the globe. A carved to perfection melody, known and loved signature mark by the Trance Viking, this pop-flavored dancefloor hit proves yet again that the Norwegian producer knows no boundaries when it comes to music production.
Co-produced with song-writer Mike James, “Nothing Here But Love” carries a message every person can relate to. Expressing feelings through music was the goal of “Prism” and Orjan Nilsen certainly delivers on that promise.
Already premiered by one of the US’ most renown radio stations – SiriusXM Electro, as well as Armin van Buuren himself on A State of Trance, “Nothing Here But Love” is now here to spread the message of love around the world!
About “Nothing Here But Love”
Ørjan Nilsen: ““In the many years of collaborating with Mike James we have most definitely become very good friends. He is one of those people who knows how to put words to the feelings I put into the music I produce. This is one of those perfectly shaped transcripts, perfectly resembling my thoughts and feelings at the time of making this track a reality.”
Ørjan Nilsen: “I have always been a very brave kind of producer; I’ve experimented and tried different styles, genres and techniques. No matter how much I love DJing, I will always be a producer first and I will never stop transcending the barriers of music production. This is what ‘Prism’ is all about. It’s about exploring different points of view, different perceptions. Prisms have the unique ability to reflect light and disperse darkness into color, and that’s exactly what I do through music; I express my feelings and my thoughts. I disperse the darkness, turn negatives into colors and reflect the light. Or at least, I try to. ‘Prism’ is a combination of the many stories I have and want to share with you. Singles do not create a storyline, so it was only natural to weave them into an album, which I will be releasing in two parts.”
It’s here!!! We are super thrilled to present you the brand new album by Orjan Nilsen, the super versatile artist really has something for each taste with ‘PRISM’ , are you ready for this ear candy? We have it on repeat already today at the office 🙂
Having been a mainstay in the electronic music scene for what seems like an eternity, Ørjan Nilsen is a man whose musical vision knows no equal. By choosing his own path to success rather than the one already carved out by others, he secured himself a signature sound that’s known and loved across the globe. And that trademark brand – those brilliant colors of sound The Viking calls his own – shines through in the first part of ‘Prism’, his third artist album, released today on Armada Music.
Following debut album ‘In My Opinion’ and its successor ‘No Saint Out Of Me’, ‘Prism’ sees Ørjan Nilsen combine
his beloved sound with new musical flourishes. Harboring known favorites such as ‘Iconic’, ‘Drowning’ and a new
vocal version of ‘Hi There Radio’ as well as fresh, occasionally pop-scented material that includes productions
such as ‘Million Miles Away’, ‘Navigator’, ‘In A Thousand Ways’ and ‘Nothing Here But Love’, ‘Prism’ shows how
one man’s vision can take on many different forms.
Additionally, ‘Prism’ also sees frequent collaborator Mike James play a big part in many of the album’s singles, cowriting
and/or singing on cuts such as ‘Hi There Radio’, ‘In A Thousand Ways’ (feat. Rykka) and ‘Nothing Here But
Love’. The Canadian singer-songwriter and Ørjan Nilsen struck up an amazing friendship after first working
together, which is evidently paying off big time with every ensuing link-up.
