It’s been quite the year for Grammy-nominated duo Feenixpawl. When 2017 was still in its early stages, the Australian tastemakers signed their Eclypse label to dance music heavyweight Armada Music and began tapping from an even larger well of creativity. It proved the start of a particularly fruitful year with an array of infectious singles, which now sees their new link-up with XMulty called ‘Shakin” close 2017 in the same way it began: with a bang.

Listen to ‘Shakin’

Poised to wreak havoc in clubs across the globe, ‘Shakin” follows the success of radio smashes such as ‘Blue Sky’, ‘Quicksand’ and ‘Ghosts’, the latter of which spent 14 weeks in the Billboard Charts and finished at #12 on Sirius BPM’s Top Tracks of the Year. The merciless energy of the record is synonymous with the manner in which the duo stormed onto the dance music scene in 2012 with break-out record and #1 single (ARIA Club Charts) ‘In My Mind’ and shows that Feenixpawl are more than ready to step up their game even further in 2018.

Following an incredible residency this summer at Hï Ibiza’s ‘Hi Sundays’, Christian and Alan Anadon (also known as Mambo Brothers), have landed on Armada Subjekt with their new offering: ‘Control’.

Let’s grab it here

A fine record to close the year in style, this production sees its rolling bassline take the helm while rising synths pan across the spectrum and a strong drumbeat positions itself at the core of the production. Using a rumble of tribal drums, the thundering breakdown of ‘Control’ seals a release which is laced with percussive rhythm and sure to make a huge impact on dancefloors across the globe.

Seeing BBC Radio 1 tastemaker Danny Howard premiere the track on his show, ‘Control’ follows a highly successful year for Ibiza-born Mambo Brothers, playing weekly to a packed room in The Club at Hï Ibiza alongside a selection of high-profile guests, including Idris Elba, The Magician, Tensnake, Doorly and Marvin Humes.

Having spent the better part of sixteen years behind the scenes of the iconic Cafe Mambo, Christian and Alan Anadon know what it takes to make a Balearic hit. Sons of Island legend and Mambo Group owner Javier Anadon, the pair were born and raised in the clubbing utopia of Ibiza, exposing themselves to the very best DJs in the world from an early age.

Having performed internationally at Mambo’s touring events in cities such as London, Miami, Monaco, Copenhagen, Lugano and Barcelona, the Mambo Brothers are always in high demand, with further appearances at Tomorrowland, Holy Ship, We Are FSTVL and at Pete Tong and Toolroom’s Miami Music Week parties. ‘Control’ follows their highly acclaimed, two-track EP on Saved Records and is poised to cement the Mambo Brothers’ status as two of the most diverse and dynamic producers around.

It’s been quite the decade since Fedde Le Grand and Ida Corr teamed up for the now legendary ‘Let Me Think About It’. Emerging in 2007, the song rose to stardom as an immensely popular Ibiza anthem, hit #2 in the UK Singles Chart and put its creators even firmer on the dance music map. Now, ten years later, a new take on the IDMA-nominated record lands onto Fedde Le Grand’s Darklight Recordings for another round of all-out floor thrilling: the Celebration Mix of ‘Let Me Think About It’.

Listen to Fedde Le Grand and Ida Corr – Let Me Think About It (Celebration Mix)

Turning the world of dance music upside down in a fashion similar to that of its predecessor, the Celebration Mix of ‘Let Me Think About It’ sees Fedde Le Grand and Ida Corr offer a thunderous spin on their iconic collaboration. Equally funky and dancefloor ready, this fresh version drives the original’s rawness into overdrive and turns the global population into one big, sweaty mass of swirling clubbers. The support from hotshots such as Dannic, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, David Guetta, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero and W&W says it all; putting this cut at the top of your playlist is a definite no-brainer.

A tastemaker in the dance music scene since 2006 single ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’ shook the very foundations of the industry, Fedde Le Grand has been one of the scene’s flagbearers for over a decade. A star DJ, acclaimed producer and the head honcho of his own label (Darklight Recordings), the Dutchman entered into a new chapter of his career earlier this year and has been killing it with his latest slew of productions, including ‘Dancing Together’, ‘Firestarter’ (with Ida Corr and Shaggy) and radio smash ‘Wonder Years’ (feat. Adam McInnis). Through those top-tier productions and this equally impressive celebration mix of his and Ida Corr’s hit single, Fedde Le Grand’s has laid the foundations for at least another phenomenal decade to come.

Armin van Buuren is the first DJ ever to release a Christmas Song. Celebrating the most wonderful holiday with your loved ones should be done the right way. With your own soundtrack playing on repeat. Armin and Josh wanted to give you that perfect Christmas present after having an magical summer with “Sunny Days”. They broke down the summer hit into a more gentle calm version and added some lovely jingle bells. The track was made within 24 hours and aired the same day on Dutch radio.

Armin van Buuren: “A few weeks ago, someone from the office asked me if I had ever toyed with the idea of turning ‘Sunny Days’ into a Christmas song. A DJ releasing a Christmas carol is not something that easily comes to mind, but when I listened to ‘Sunny Days’ afterwards, I discovered that the lyrics do have some of that Christmas magic going for them.”

“Past Tuesday night, I spoke with the vocalist of ‘Sunny Days’, Josh Cumbee, who has become a good friend of mine. I shared the idea with him and when I woke up the next morning at 6 a.m., he had already sent me a first draft, based on an unreleased downtempo version of ‘Sunny Days’. I loved it so much that I immediately sent it over to my record label (Armada Music) and less than 24 hours later, ‘Christmas Days’ was born.”

When the sunny days give way to the dark-grey clouds and frosty winds, you know it’s that time of year again. In true holiday spirit, Armin van Buuren and Josh Cumbee surprise us with a heartwarming present: a special version of their hit single that will prove the perfect mood-setter for the most wonderful of days. Let us all gather around the fireplace and share some hot cocoa with our loved ones. Because the ‘Christmas Days’ are here.
