Kidnap is taking audiovisual experiences to another level as he enters into a truly mesmerizing endeavor at the Royal Observatory Greenwich. On September 19, the London-based DJ and producer will help a limited number of lucky listeners reach for the stars through an exclusive pre-listen of his debut artist album ‘Grow’ at the Peter Harrison Planetarium in London, all in the form of a stellar continuous mix of album tracks to make way for an unforgettable visual journey.

Set to run from 7 to 8 p.m. on the aforementioned date, Kidnap’s one-hour continuous album mix at the planetarium will be delivered in surround sound to ensure the best listening experience, as the music’s unique character marries together with the intergalactic environment. Kidnap has crafted a one-of-a-kind audiovisual journey where bespoke visuals work harmoniously with the custom mix to give the listeners a breathtaking first listen of Kidnap’s debut album. The official release of the ‘Grow’ album is set for September 20, one day following the event.

Kidnap: “Having the opportunity to present my music at the iconic Greenwich Planetarium is incredibly exciting. Their spectacular visuals connect perfectly with the sound of the album and played together bring the concept to life.”

Originally from Sheffield, Kidnap has enjoyed a momentous year in the lead up to the release of his first album. First single and title track ‘Grow’ had Kidnap fans in raptures as they saw the return of Leo Stannard featuring on vocals, a tried and tested formula following the huge success of Kidnap’s 2015 hit track ‘Moments’. ‘Grow’ became #1 on SiriusXM Chill and entered the Top 100 U.S. Dance chart. Following on was ‘Start Again’, the second single of the album picking up support from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 with the third single due to drop on September 6. Kidnap’s unique sound has certainly travelled a long way since he gained recognition winning the iTunes Best Electronic Track in 2012 with his release ‘Vehl’, not to mention his Electronic Music Award nomination for his and Lane 8’s track ‘Aba’. He’s also found time to maintain a busy touring schedule after he became an ambassador for Corona Sunset Sessions with performances taking him to extraordinary locations, from rocky beaches in Southern Italy to mountain summits in Canada.
