Estiva’s new track ‘The Maze’ will make you lose yourself on the dancefloor.
We spoke to Estiva about how the track came to be. This is what he had to say: “With The Maze I wanted to focus on getting lost in the music. The whole track evolves around a straight forward arpeggio sound, accompanied by a driving bassline. You constantly feel tension and you’re asking yourself where the track is taking you. The up- and downrising fx on the main lead give you that extra dimension of hypnotic vibe which I love on the dancefloor!”
Once the winding build-up enters the equation, you can’t go back. A tune you can’t help but lose yourself in, ‘The Maze’ sees Estiva conjure up another signature Progressive Trance cut meant to keep you hooked from start to finish. It’s one of the most-lauded singles from his ‘Spectacle’ album for a reason, y’know?
Championed to have invented concert Techno, Berlin-based electronic artist Jan Blomqvist recently released his new album ‘Disconnected’, initially broken down and released across three mini albums over the summer. In the age of social media, ‘Disconnected’ explores the meaning of being disconnected, drawing on themes of broken connections, incoherent narratives and escapes from reality.
The first out of a string of remixes to come, this tranquil take on album track ‘Maybe Not’ comes from the hand of French DJ/producer Rodriguez Jr. Offering a soft and melodic rework of the track, this remix provides a slowed edit of the original, maintaining the distinctive vocals, gentle piano chords and high-pitched synth lines as they glide and build in unison and create a sense of tranquility.
As all-encompassing as the ‘Armada 15 Years’ album may have been, one album is hardly enough to accurately showcase Armada Music’s past decade and a half. So, to magnify what started with the release of the first album on June 1st, the Amsterdam-based record label releases the album’s deluxe edition today, which sees a number of artists deliver some exciting, and above all exclusive originals or remixes to make sure this wonderful milestone year will never be forgotten.
To help fans dig deeper into all that the Amsterdam-based record label has to offer (ranging from evergreen classics to present-day hits and tracks from future stars), the Deluxe Edition of ‘Armada 15 Years’ album peppers the celebrations with forty-six original tracks and remixes from artists such as Afrojack, Andrew Rayel, ARTY, Dash Berlin, filous, Laidback Luke, Loud Luxury, Ryan Riback and more.
Founded by Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron and David Lewis on June 1st, 2003, Armada Music has been a trailblazing imprint since its inception fifteen years back. Throughout the years, the label managed to spread to almost every corner of the electronic music spectrum, signing records and labels across a plethora of genres from highly acclaimed artists such as Afrojack, Andrew Rayel, Armin van Buuren, Erick Morillo, Fedde Le Grand, Gareth Emery, Kevin Saunderson, Lost Frequencies, Loud Luxury, Morgan Page and W&W. Now widely considered the biggest independent dance music label in the world, Armada Music has been gearing up to show the world that they’re ready to remain one of the industry’s staple imprints for at least another decade and a half, and this Deluxe album shows exactly how they intend to do so in anniversary style.
‘Hijack’ is Marcus Santoro’s debut single on Armind. The high energy track is made to blast through your speakers and light up the dancefloor!
Taking over the club culture with its pounding bass and tremor-like kick drums, Marcus Santoro takes the reins and gives them a yank or three. From the thrilling staccato strings and synth-wave effects to the insane build-up and destructive drop, this man’s debut single on Armind is bound to tear sound systems to pieces.
